Formed in the late 60’s South Koreas largest car manufacturer Hyundai had a reputation of producing middle of the road family saloons but all that changed with the formation of the Hyundai Motorsport division. Debuting in WRC during 2014 they were soon on the podium and progressed to win back-to-back manufacturers titles, keen to transfer this success and knowledge gained through motorsport to the road Hyundai’s N division was formed and in 2018 unleashed the marques first true hot hatch the i30N. The success of the i30N saw EXCELR8 Motorsport introduce Hyundai to the BTCC in 2020 where they’ve enjoyed continued success and with Scorpions involvement ensures true track to road technology transfer.

Our top technicians have developed a 76mm/3” T304 stainless steel, non-resonated GPF-back exhaust system for the Hyundai 130n. The exhaust system has been acoustically designed to eliminate drone but also provide a deep sporty Scorpion soundtrack throughout the rev range.

The GPF-back system features an active exhaust valve which is operated by the driver using drive mode select button inside the car. Buyers can customise the appearance of their system by choosing from five tailpipe options. 114mm Ascari Carbon Fibre, Daytona and Indy tailpipes both available in polished and black ceramic finishes.

Driver’s wanting additional performance with an enhanced soundtrack can look at adding the GPF delete section to their setup. Our technicians have precisely designed the GPF delete to be fully interchangeable with both the OEM and Scorpion GPF-back exhausts. Two variants have been developed, a resonated version that is perfectly suited for pairing with the Scorpion GPF-back and a non-resonated option for partnering with the OEM GPF-back.
